TECHNOLOGY

SWISS SOLAR QUARTZ

At the heart of the UTILITY 40 is the Swiss-made Ronda Solartech 215. It’s a solar-powered quartz movement built for accuracy and longevity.

Solar quartz is the logical choice for a proper tool watch. It keeps time to within seconds a month, shrugs off shocks, and never needs winding. When you’re relying on your kit, precision and simplicity matter more than ritual.

No winding, no batteries to change. Just a watch that quietly minds its own business.

TECHNOLOGY

TiX TITANIUM

The case of the UTILITY 40 is made from TiX. That’s the name we give to our specification of hardened titanium.

Starting with Grade 2 titanium, we add a diamond-like carbon surface that forms a dense outer layer roughly four times harder than steel, giving the case outstanding scratch resistance without adding weight. It’s not paint, it’s not plating, and it won’t wear off.

The result is a hypoallergenic and corrosion-proof material that’s 4x harder than steel yet 40% lighter.

That’s what makes the UTILITY 40 lighter than it looks, tougher than it needs to be, and calmly unimpressed by whatever you do to it.

TECHNOLOGY

DESIGNED, ASSEMBLED & TESTED IN THE UK

Every Ontic starts life on a British workbench. Designed, assembled and tested here by people who care about doing it right. It’s slower and costs little more but it guarantees each watch leaves the bench properly built and properly tested.

Each watch is tested for water resistance, accuracy, and finish before it leaves. No conveyor belts, no robots, just patient watchmakers who want to do it right.

Once it’s on your wrist, the same team who built it will support it for life.

British-built. World-ready.

Legibility First

High-contrast dials, fully lumed hands, and bold ceramic indices make the time easy to read at a glance. As light levels fall, Swiss Super-LumiNova provides a steady glow so the dial remains visible.
